Say a warm “Hello!” to the Bonjour French Festival! It is the first free French Festival in the Gold Coast.
The Festival aims to celebrate equality, freedom and fraternity. It also encourages schools, communities and universities to be part of a project that will reunite all facets of the French Culture.
It will also serve as a rich cultural experience to the local community. Expect a whole day filled with a slew of activities related to French Art, French Music, French cuisine, sports and educational activities.
The festival will also be recreating a French village-like atmosphere amidst Emerald Lakes.
A Street Culture Hub will also be present. It will showcase Contemporary French Culture usually seen in Marseille, Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux.
Graffiti artists also abound as well as Chalk Art Display, Hip Hop dancing and singing.
Experience a whole day of being treated with amazing musical performances from French artists, local artists as well as artists from New Caledonia.
Taste French via “French A La Carte in the Park” all for a minimal price.
The famous “Petanque” will similarly be there. Do try your hand at the French national sport with a few experienced players who will show you the rules of the game.
Bring your kids and allow them to learn fun French crafts and games.
The Renault Classic Cars of Queensland will also be present to display their member cars.
Street performers and roving artists will be present to keep you constantly entertained, the French way.
The Bonjour French Festival will take place at Enerald Lakes, The Boulevard, Carrara on 23 November, 2014 at 7:30pm. The event is a quick drive from our Palm Beach Apartment Accommodation.
