Taking place on 1 to 2 November, the Coolangatta Gold will feature the most exciting and challenging Ironman event, which is absolutely not for the fainthearted. Organised by Surf Life Saving Australia, this event will provide a 42-kilometre course challenge which serves as a great endurance and strength test. It brings together the most elite and renowned international and Aussie ironmen and ironwomen.
Now on its 30th year, this exciting sporting event on the Gold Coast will celebrate this year’s event by presenting different types of race courses and challenges for all levels of strength and abilities.
For an easier challenge, the Coolangatta Gold now features family-friendly and beginner-friendly activities and programs. The whole family can enjoy the Great Gold Coast Swim, which features a 5km Beach Fun Run. There’s also a Family Fun Day for both adults and kids to enjoy.
This year’s Coolangatta Gold promises another phenomenal event following its huge success last year. The previous year has been a record-breaking event after it had the first ever female long course race and gave the biggest prize money of $25,000 for the open male and female winners. For this season, there will be a bigger number of competitors expected to join, as well as a more successful outcome of events.
